Happenings

To keep you up to date on what is happening here, and give you an idea of what is to come, I’m going to try my best to keep this front page up-to-date.

So far, things have gone quite well. Work on Portfolio content is coming along at an acceptable rate. I plan to have almost everything complete within the next two weeks. (With work picking up for the Christmas Season, I am going to have less time to devote to my portfolio.) I am hoping to soon get PHP configured properly as to allow for a progress bar in the Portfolio, so you and other clients don’t end up thinking the server has stalled when it is just taking a little while to get everything loaded up.

I am also spending a little time getting my Control Panel up and running again. I re-wrote the client code a while ago, but it seems to be interfering slightly with that of WordPress’s. I have to make a couple of modifications there, and then hopefully I will have the client utilities operational once more.

However, while this is all happening, I am keeping an up-to-date log of the goings-on in my site blog. Stop by there, if you wish, after you visit my portfolio and have a read of the details and / or leave me some comments there. I am also open to e-mail for any comments or questions. My e-mail address is email@chrisbraybrook.com, or you can use the contact form posted on my contact page.

Have yourself a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

Portfolio

Greetings everyone!

Well, as much as a project like this is never finished, I’ve opened up my Portfolio and worked out all of the serious glitches for you! :) So, if you happen to be stopping by for a look at my work, or are curious to find out what this site is about, link over to my portfolio and discover what I have to offer!

Display Problems

I realize that the 1024×768 resolution setting for monitors is fast becoming the standard by which we all set our monitors, but it has always been (for me, at least) a priority that users with a resolution setting of 800×600 be able to easily access my projects. Somehow, in my eagerness to get this project up and going, I over-stepped the boundaries of a 800×600 viewing area.

So, at the moment, if you’re viewing this website with an 800×600 resolution setting, I apologize for the issues that you are having. I am looking into a fix for this problem, and hope to have it finished in the next couple of weeks.

Thank you for your patience!

Portfolio Section Update

I’ve managed to get a few pieces of my work loaded into the portfolio framework this evening. So far, the framework isn’t completely finished, as I have intentions of having this section driven by database instead of just straight includes, (allowing me ease of updating its content.)

I also have a couple of formatting issues with this section as well, but look forward to having those corrected in the next day or so.

As I get more of my portfolio works uploaded into the existing framework (so as to, at least, have something there for people to look at), there will be more and more content available for viewing, and the projects that I have on display right now will receive more attention (as in more content.)

I also have plans to have the portfolio section display a ‘loading’ progress bar for those without a super-fast internet connection. At the moment, the section may simply load slowly, as I have some issues with the progress bar that I need to iron out before I implement that feature.

Site Upgrade

I am working on getting the portfolio page structure put together today, so I apologize if you happen to stop by and find things there in a bit of a shambles.
