Service Packages

In the interest of making the quoting process a little quicker, I’m posting a list of a few services and a couple of basic, detailed quotes for some smaller projects here. If you don’t see what you are looking for here, I am still very likely to be able to tackle the project, but may need to create a quote specifically for you. Basic Website

A basic website is considered to be your standard four-page layout, with “welcome or introduction page”, “contact information page”, and two other pages pertaining to the content of your site.

This package will include:

• Design of site layout tailored to client’s needs and requests (5 to 6 hours)
• Construction of web-standards compliant template (4 to 5 hours)
• Creation (if needed) or assistance with developing site content, including spellchecking. (4 to 5 hours)
• Uploading of website to your hosting account. (10 min.)

Package Cost: $800 (approx.)

Domain Name Setup

Almost every client I have come across would like to have their own domain name for their website, to make it easier for their potential clients or users to navigate to their point on the internet. The standard fee for this is approx. $15 US per year.

There are a good number of domain registry companies out there with domain search engines that will tell you if the domain name you want is taken, and if so, suggest a few others that you might try which are not. Personally, I use directNIC. Their website is quite straightforward, and their help files cover the entire range of questions that you may have regarding how to set up your domain name.

This is, of course, something that I can do for you as well. If you’re not comfortable registering a domain name, or would like some assistance in coming up with a good address for your site, I can take care of it for you.

Total Cost: $25.00 + $15 US (approx) Registration Fee

Web Hosting Account Setup

Whether this is to work with your existing Internet Service Provider (ISP) or to work with another company to get you an account for serving your website to the internet, I am able to get this set up for you.

I am personally using Michal Sabren’s Cornerhost to serve my website(s), and will recommend his services to just about everybody. :) However, if you would prefer to use a different company, I am able to work with them as well to get your account registered and set up.

The registration fees vary from host to host. In the case of Cornerhost, your only registration fee is to pay your first month’s service charge of $5, $10, or $20. You also have the option of purchasing a year’s subscription with them for $50, $100, or $200 (a savings of 2 months’ worth of subscription fees.)

Total Cost: $25.00 + Applicable Registration Fee(s).
